Tesla Suspension Upgrade

We have carried out a number of suspension conversions now on Model 3’s and Model Y’s.

Model 3’s have been upgraded to the later ‘Highland Suspension’, whilst Model Y’s see the ‘Juniper’ upgrade.

Front shock absorbers are bought complete with springs from Tesla, already built up. Genuine rear shocks and coils are also used.

From a garage and technician point of view, it is lovely, satisfying work to carry out. Repair instructions are easy to follow, and just one special tool is required.

Owners have been unanimously pleased and happy with the results!

Initial impressions:

More muted over rough roads
Faster to return to the original position after going over a big bump. (More tuned dampers?)
Less precise handling, need to turn the steering wheel more before the car follows (this is reported to be expected with softer suspension)
Less “road feel”

So, it’s aligned with my expectations – and more comfortable as a passenger car.”
